2020 Mini-Camp Details

The goal of mini-camp is to give all the kids a chance to learn the fundamentals of the game together and hear consistent coaching.  We will spend the vast majority of the time focusing on teaching the proper way to block, tackle, catch the ball, and move their bodies.

The 2020 football mini-camps will run from July 13th through July 30th on:

Mondays and Wednesdays:
3rd and 4th graders 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Tuesdays and Thursdays:
5th and 6th graders 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Saturdays:
3rd and 4th graders 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
5th and 6th graders 10:30 a.m. to noon.

MANDATORY evaluation dates:
*These evaluation nights are different and players are expected to attend both nights.  Please make every effort to attend these sessions as scheduled for your league.

3rd and 4th graders
Monday, July 20th 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Monday, July 27th 5:30 to 7 p.m.

5th and 6th graders
Tuesday, July 21st 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Tuesday, July 28th 6:30 to 8 p.m.

*We realize that some people may not be able to make it to the scheduled nights. We will hold a make up evaluation night on Friday, July 31st from 6:30-8:00 pm. This is the last opportunity to make it to evaluations prior to teams being formed on August 1st.  You child must be evaluated prior to being placed on a team.

What should your player wear? What equipment do they need?

For the first 2 nights for each grade, players will be asked to wear helmets only.  They should wear athletic shorts, a t-shirt, cleats, a mouth piece, and their helmet.  They MUST bring their own water bottle that is clearly labeled with their name.

Beginning on Saturday, the 18th, players will be asked to wear what is known as "Pro pads."  This means that they should arrive with helmets and shoulder pads, but not football pants.  They can still just wear athletic shorts.  Players will need to bring a practice jersey to wear over their shoulder pads.  The color does not matter.  You can typically find practice jersey at a store like Dick's Sporting goods.  This will also be the attire for the first practice of week 2.

Finally beginning on Wednesday or Thursday (depending on your grade) we will ask kids to wear "full pads."  This means they will need, helmets, shoulder pads, and football pants.  This will be the attire for the remainder of mini-camp.
